The new museum is built inside an old sleeping volcano near the centre of the town of Olot. Therefore, this subterranean building liberates a large extension of land above that will be a new park. Outside the building is only visible in its two accesses which are self-faced creating an internal urban passage inside the building.
The new park is conceived as a natural beech forest. The furniture and the urban lamps are part of the park’s design.
